If you're in need of heavy-duty snaps for your leather crafting, the 70 sets 15mm 58" heavy-duty snap fasteners kit may not be your best bet. While these snaps are sturdy and great looking for wallets, they may not withstand high moisture environments and their inner mechanisms tend to rust and cease to function quickly. Unfortunately, they may not be suitable for use with rain gear either. The posts aren't typically long enough to work with thicker leathers or other materials. If you do opt for these snap fasteners, make sure you use the installation tools that come with it. Customers who have used the Dritz Heavy Duty Pliers claim they make snap installation far easier, although these pliers are sold separately. Despite the kits' good attributes, the Consensus among reviewers is that the snap fasteners are of a very low quality, and tend to fall apart, being too easily breakable. The instructions aren't helpful, and don't expect the fasteners to function in high-pressure situations. To sum up, the kit may do the job, but it's not very durable, and the snap fasteners are of very low quality that may not withstand high-pressure conditions, harsh weather conditions or rust-resistant. As for its easy fastening tools, the Dritz Heavy Duty Pliers would be a recommended purchase.
