Fashionclubs offers a left and right hand set of 7" wooden sectioned, opposable, and articulated manikin hand models for drawing, sketching, and painting. The hands are raw wood and can be painted and stained easily. The digits move front to back, and the range of movement is impressive, allowing for basic hand positions and general hand placements for drawing references. However, despite being cost efficient and made of good quality, users pointed out that the thumb is stiff and "grows" straight out of the palm, limiting certain hand positions. The ball joints do not swivel, and the fingers are stuck going forward and back. Some reviewers appreciated the flexibility, whereas a reviewer found that the entire base of the thumb isn’t mobile at all and that the model fails to capture the natural position that fingers fall into when stretched out since the fingers just go straight up, parallel to each other. Other reviewers love these hands and appreciate the smaller size for their needs. Even though there were some criticisms, overall, these hands are a great tool for artists of all levels.
