    Cevap: These Manila envelopes says 8 ounces each, but they seem a lot lighter, more like 4 ounces each. Hope this helps!

    Cevap: Yes, they are made in the USA. I mail calendars and other paperwork in them. I store documents in them but not heavy wads or them or books. They should be able to hold a narrow book.

    Cevap: The clasp is gold.
  • Soru: Would a 1952 magazine fit in one of these? I don't expect it to be stored, just mailed.

    Cevap: It depends on the thickness of the magazine as well as the weight of the magazine. Anything published before 1970 was composed of different materials making them heavier.
  • Soru: How many pounds is the paper rated? Not the weight of the envelope but the paper weight rating (thickness).

    Cevap: Thank you for your interest in our Mead 9x12 Clasp Envelopes. This envelope is made of 24lb. Sun Kraft paper.

    Cevap: Hi, Donna. I do not know. But I'm confident (a) there is no chance they'd use expensive brass, and (2) if they were to use it, it was say so on package.

Mead Clasp Envelopes Editorial Review

The Mead 6X9 Clasp Envelopes are an excellent product that is very useful but can be difficult to find in stores. However, they are readily available online and can be delivered in excellent condition the very next day by Amazon. These envelopes come with gold clasps and have glue for sealing. The Mead 6X9 Clasp Envelopes are strong enough to hold a narrow book and have been able to fit approximately 45 pages per envelope. While they might not be the sturdiest of envelopes, they do the job as expected. These Mead envelopes can be used for music storage and are a great value for the price. However, some customers have complained that the paper is brittle and not as thick or sturdy as other envelopes, tearing easily and having clasps that fall off after the first couple of uses.
