However, if you sweat a lot or practice Bikram, it’s best to use the mat with a thin towel to absorb moisture. The mat is reversible, allowing you to switch between the jute side and the PER anti-slip side. The jute side provides excellent traction and is perfect for balance poses, while the PER side offers cushioning and support for your joints. One customer was concerned about purchasing the sand color mat in California due to state restrictions. Additionally, some customers reported that the mat was uncomfortable and scratchy and had an unpleasant odor when first received. The mat was also found to be sticky on the jute side but that went away after a few uses and cleaning.
