The shoe has great traction for trails; however, if you're walking on rough terrain, it’s recommended getting dedicated trail shoes and/or shoes with more ankle support. The sizes listed are United States sizes, and the toe box has plenty of room. The material is very sturdy & well-Constructed with deep grooves on the bottom, great for crunching across snow and salty surfaces. The shoes can be a bit softer, almost to the point of a little unstable. They are a bit pricey for general purpose use, and their design extremes have limitations.
