The Char-Broil 1446552R04 Carbon-Steel Griddle Stone is an 18"x15" griddle that can be used for cooking meat, especially "smashed" burgers. The griddle is about 1/8" thick, and after proper seasoning, it becomes non-stick. It is portable and can be used outdoors on a grill but not recommended for indoor use. To season the griddle, apply oil to the entire surface of the griddle top, place it on a grill, heat until it starts smoking, and then let it cook for 25-30 minutes, repeating until desired level of seasoning is achieved. Overall the product has received mixed feedback. Some customers highly recommend it for cooking burgers and steaks, while others found it to be a poor quality product. Some users experienced warping, rusting, and chipping of the surface after the first few uses. One customer also reported the erosion of the surface and the manufacturer not replacing the product as there is no warranty offered.
