HPKRSTEARL Strapping Editorial Review
This strapping kit includes a tension and seal tool for use with plastic strapping. The tensile strength of the strapping material is 700-800 N/mm2, and the core machine polypropylene strapping measures 8"x 8". The tools can be used with different size bands and seals, but may not be precise when used with 3/4" strapping. The tape reel should be kept in control to prevent the tape from coming loose. Two people are required for non-trivial box loads. The tool is suitable for farm and storage use but may not be industrial strength. The kit worked well for some users but others found it difficult to use, with the knife edge getting stuck, and the banding breaking too easily. Some found the quality of the tools good but the strapping material junk. The spool, being just a cardboard core, was too easy for the strap to drop off and get knotted up. Pros are that the kit is good quality, easy to use, and a great price for banding shipments. A key con is that the banding is not suitable for use in tight spots or for heavy items.
