Do you wire this parallel with the load?
Cevap: Yes. The light itself is a load. Assuming you have the 120V version you attach your power leg to one connection and the neutral leg to the other. If you want to use a switch simply break the power leg with your switch (never switch a neutral leg). It's just light wiring any light socket. -

Is it weather proof?
Cevap: Hi, Thanks for the request and interest. Unfortunately, it is not entirely water proof. There is a thin gasket between the nut and your panel, but there is no o-ring between the lens cap and the LED. It is technically possible for water to get inside the led area. The LED itself is sealed so there should be no risk for damage from water but I am not certain that water can not penetrate the area. -

I want something to mount outside a shed to let me know when the light inside has been left on. Is this the item?
Cevap: Yes, you could use this indicator lamp for that purpose. It won't be visible in high ambient lighting so it really isn't designed for outdoor viewing unless it is dark outside. You would need to panel mount this through your shed and seal...and run it off of your 120VAC power light switch. -

I get power outages relatively often. Would two of these work for the hot sides of the 220vac power switch (to ground) for my house?
Cevap: I suggest calling a local qualified electrician. If you are trying to install these ahead of the main power switch that turns off your entire structure, it is not designed for that. -

What's the current draw on the 120v led?
Cevap: It differs by color and voltage type but for the 120VAC red the maximum is 10mA. -

Which side is hot/neutral? or does it matter?
Cevap: I don't think it matters. I don't recall needing to switch the wires or figuring out which side was hot. -

I need a red flashlight for reading maps at night for astronomical observations. This property is in me?
Cevap: I do not use this as a flashlight but as an off / on indicator. I think you should look for actual flashlight with red lens / filter...

However, it has a few drawbacks, as it is not waterproof and not ideal for outdoor use. It is also not designed for outdoor viewing unless it is dark outside. It has a maximum of 10mA, and it is not designed to be used ahead of the main power switch that turns off your entire structure. Overall, the American LED-gible LD-2837-112 LED 22mm Indicator Light, 120V Red is a simple, easy-to-use indicator light that is ideal for indoor use and is perfect for indicating the power status of your system.
