    Cevap: What you need is a double pole double throw switch.

    Cevap: I used it to as an on/off switch to turn off the external speaker on our pop-up camper. Works great.

    Cevap: Off would be open, on would be closed. That is how it works in the device I repaired.

    Cevap: One horsepower is 746 watts. A 10A 250 volt switch is equivalent to about 15 Amp 125 volts. Your grinder uses 3 amps at 120 volts. Your switch handles 15 amps. You are good to go!
