Xcess Skate Guards Editorial Review
The Xcess Adjustable Marble Ice Skate Guards have garnered a positive reception from customers, particularly highlighting their aesthetic appeal and practical functionality. Users are Consistently impressed with the design, noting the attractive green marble pattern, which adds a unique touch to their skating gear. While the assembly process has received mixed feedback, many customers appreciate the availability of online tutorials, primarily on YouTube, which assist in overcoming initial assembly challenges. Although some find the initial setup a bit tricky—especially when adjusting the strong springs—overall, reviewers convey that once assembled, the guards are straightforward to use. The skates offer versatility, fitting a range of blade sizes and are customizable, though some users note that cutting them to fit can be a daunting task without the right tools. This is particularly true for those with hockey skates, where the guards' fit may require extra adjustments due to the curvature of the blades. Concerns have been raised regarding the absence of drainage holes, suggesting that users need to allow their blades to dry completely to avoid possible rusting. However, the general Consensus is that these skate guards deliver on both appearance and quality, providing good value for skaters who want to protect their blades while also looking stylish. **
