- Polyken 345 Premium Self-Wound Aluminum Foil Tape is a heavy-duty dead soft aluminum foil tape used for sealing and masking of aircraft. It provides a barrier to air, moisture, and corrosion and it acts as a heat shield to minimize heat transfer. Polyken 345SW features a self-wound construction so it has a smooth and easy unwind and no release liner minimizes waste. It is conformable for irregular surfaces and contours and provides an excellent bond to most surfaces. The acrylic adhesive coating on the tape is solvent resistant and has excellent high-temperature performance. It also provides clean and easy removal with no residue from most surfaces. Other application uses include: speed tape; window mask to protect aircraft canopies, windshields, and passenger window surfaces from crazing or hazing during paint stripping operations; heavy-duty vapor barrier sealing for sheet metal, flexible, and fiberglass duct systems; insulation seal, patch, and repair; composite repair and manufacturing; masking tape in paint stripping and electro-plating applications; heat shielding and elimination of 'hot' spots in industrial maintenance applications; condenser and evaporator fastener in the appliance and refrigeration industry; diversion trough for wash-off of paints and chemicals during stripping and painting process. Made in the U.S. NOTES: Sizes shipped will typically be the tape industry standard metric-cut sizes, i.e. 24mm for each 1 inch of nominal tape width ordered (rolls are approximately 5% narrower than the nominal size). This product's actual size is 48mm x 55m.
