- The XD05 PRO is a flagship portable balanced DAC and headphone amplifier, integrating USB, coaxial, optical, AES, and Bluetooth decoding with headphone amplification. It supports PCM up to 32-bit/768kHz, DSD512, and full MQA decoding, while Bluetooth supports high-definition formats like aptX HD and LDAC. The DAC chip employs ESS's latest ES9039SPRO, featuring a modular design allowing replacement with custom-engineered modules like the AK4499EX or ROHM BD34301. This enables users to explore distinct sonic characteristics delivered by premium DAC chips. The headphone amplifier circuit utilizes an OP+BUF architecture, delivering a powerful 2000mW output capable of effortlessly driving a wide range of headphones. The op-amp chip also uses a plug-in design, allowing users to easily replace the op-amp chip themselves. Different chips deliver distinct listening experiences, catering to individual preferences. To optimize compatibility with headphones of varying impedances, the unit incorporates a TURBO power switch that simultaneously adjusts power supply and gain, ensuring perfect matching for low, medium, and high-impedance headphones. An external power interface and switch allow one-touch conversion to desktop mode indoors, delivering a powerful yet balanced listening experience.
