- The SEM 15243 Color Coat Satin Black is a professional elastomeric interior coating designed to restore or change the color of automotive interior surfaces. It is not a dye but a flexible coating that adheres to vinyl, plastic, carpet, velour, and leather without cracking. The 12 oz aerosol provides coverage of about 10 square feet and dries to the touch in roughly 10 minutes at 70F, with a full cure in 24 hours. The satin black finish offers a subtle factory appearance. Proper preparation is required, including SEM Soap and adhesion promoter for plastics and brushing carpet fibers after spraying. The coating is oil based and remains flexible after curing. Users note strong adhesion and durability when applied correctly.
