Specialist ID offers a 5 Pack - Comfort Black Breakaway Lanyard & Retractable Badge Reel combo that is adequate for desk jockeys but may not be sufficient for those working in confined spaces or carrying heavier equipment. One customer noticed that the clip that holds the badge loop to the retractor cord swivel becomes bent and falls off over time so they replaced it with a 1/2 inch diameter split key ring. The retractor is not strong enough to remain retracted when walking when more than two pin tumbler brass keys and a tubular key along with a proximity card photo ID badge are worn. Another complaint is that the 0.5-inch lanyard is not long enough to wear crossbody and isn't strong enough to hold the weight of a stainless steel water bottle. The reel and lanyard last for a few months with Constant use in an environment where they can get caught on stuff. The product is made in China and costs an affordable price.
